  1. graphics cards were never this expensive because they knew most people wouldn't pay that much... Nvidia was able to make better cards than they did for years but they only released something good enough to just beat out AMD... then mining happened and people were willing to pay for however much GPU they could get and we end up with this.

  2. whole thing is just skrewed... they started selling to the mainstream idiot market who care more about flashy lights than having a functional PC.
