  1. after watching maybe a dozen videos about people taking a wire wheel to their new pans and stripping them with lye and nonsense like that I just figured I'd take some rough sandpaper to my skillets with just a foam sanding block since they had some high spots and rust on them(they'd been sittin a while, never used)... just about got em re-seasoned now and they're 1000x better, feels pretty darn smooth to me.
