"and they all have to work!" actually no... most consumer chips have bad sections... the cheaper versions of a chip line are just the rejects that had too many errors to hit the performance numbers required to be a more expensive chip.

@TheCrazierz this "it isn't something you can just flip on and off" thing sounds like a load of crap to me... what, did they sell the 30 billion dollar machines they invested in? sold them to who? they sure as heck didn't melt them down for scrap... so someone still has the multi-billion dollar UV lithography equipment. so why can't just just... turn it back on?

@TheCrazierz I mean ya, they'd have to order more materials and such... but that's a matter of months and this "chip shortage" has been going on for like 2 years now. they still have the supply lines in place, they just need to be like "hey bob, order more silica wafers!"

@Jerryfree1010 doesn't matter how strong they are if china invades taiwan and the UN puts sanctions on imports... they'll still be ruined. that's why they didn't ramp back up in taiwan lol.
