  1. still... if I were on a plane that was going down I'd rather have a parachute than not. most of those reasons make sense in the case of minor malfunctions, but in a true disaster situation I think most of those would be either irrelevant or could be easily worked around (like wait until a lower altitude to jump?). wana freak people out on a flight? bring a parachute as carry on. lol.
