pretty sure the point of an impact driver is to actually have an impact for applications like drilling stone/concrete...
1
the whole european power system has the feel of a childrens toy... everything is bigger, runs slower, has a bunch of ridiculous safety features that get in the way, isn't as versatile...

yes, this was magical to me as a kid... I had a bedside lamp with a capacitance sensor... my dad was also into hobby electronics in the 80sish and told me how it worked... then we got these magical microprocessor things that were "just as good" and all that went to the wayside. it also had the same 3 level dimming function. mine just worked though, it didn't need to "boot up" or any such nonsense. it's amazing to me how tech like this and chanel shifting in songs is all "new" to people... and how mercury bimetalic switches are suddenly dangerous despite there being one in my hallway for over 2 decades without issue... there's a damn shroud around the thing... it's not hanging out there.... like how everyone freaked out and ripped out all the asbestos when most of it was safely sealed in walls... like how etc etc etc....

and after a few months they came out with DVD+/- burners and no one cared. DVD+R does sound like it's technically better though...
1
I'm never interested in stopping watching a video I'm in the middle of watching to go watch something else anyways... if I switch to another video I'm done watching this one.
1
well people aren't supposed to repair their own things anymore... so this is fine.
1
but youtube auto-captions are literally meme worthy... and are you really surprised no1 in the 50s cared about the deaf? lol...
1
I've never made a lava lamp, but I've bought a few of them and they all eventually go flecky and things separate. I love lava lamps, but I'm not buying a new one every month.
1
will you read anything that's written on the teleprompter?
1
this was wayyy too much effort to show people your dirty dishes... and one would assume the various portions of the pack are designed to dissolve at different rates, so maybe it should just be tossed in from the start?
1
"I'm not saying you should get one of these and put it in your car by setting it up on a relay through the horn circuit, but I'm saying you should get one of these and put it in your car by setting it up on a relay through the horn circuit"
1
gawd... the 90s was all about CD changers... then mp3 players became a thing. kinda miss the old mechanical sounds these sort of things made.
1
I could just imagine myself standing there in the morning waiting for my toast to come up slowly and elegantly like "CMON! GIMME MY @#$% TOAST!!" pretty neat design tho.
1
ya... I haven't seen rotating doors on a building that's been built in the last 50 years or so... probably because they still have to build a door for accessability anyways...
1
you can see reflective markings just fine in a big rig... I'd say the large road signs maybe even moreso since they're higher up also.
1
ya, you could do it... but if you wanted your CD to work on anything you used .wav if you wanted more music without changing CDs you bought an Ipod and possibly an FM tranmiter or one of those cassette thingamabobs if you had a tape deck still... you remember those things you made a video about already? so this is yet another thing that while interesting was totally redundant and had little to no actual use.
1
seems like a small convenience store that rented both VHS and beta would have use for a combo rewinder.
1
remember how much effort people used to put into just geting 25 cents out of you? now they expect people to donate hundreds of dollars for sitting on their arse XD
1
@frjoethesecond for sure, most chefs prefer gas cook tops.
1
ya... but they assume people in north america aren't stupid. as far as I know it's legal to indicate your intentions to turn by using the widely recognized hand/arm signals used for biking. if someone is turning away from you, it's not really important as they are never going to interfere with your driving... this is just a bunch of whiney BS. and it's totally not illegal to drive with your hazard lights on lmfao... what kinda backwards country are you living in?! that's literally how you indicate that you require an exception to the traffic laws due to a safety issue.
1
I love this sprinkler design... just not it's coverage in the garden. I refer to them as "chick-chick-chick" sprinklers... the back and forth ones that go back and forth the other way are better tho less durable.
1
extension cords and splitters both have inherent risks and things to be aware of when using them... not to mention many extension cords have multiple outlets on them compounding the issue. sure theoretically maybe some cheap extension cords could be thinner than optimal for the possible maximum load they could experience(which is probably not that big of a deal realistically), but people can easily daisy chain splitters causing other overloading issues.
1
the thing arcs if it trips it's cutout... obviously that could be a fire hazzard especially combined with a thing that heats up the environment speeding the evaporation of flammables.
1
do you go out and buy these props specifically for a video or do you just have a lot of clocks?
1
a sensor is meant to scan for life forms. tiny little life forms. precious little life forms.
1
when you realize the only difference between those mini fridges and your full sized fridge is a little fan to blow the air around a bit more until it reaches the fridge...
1
so ya know... why didn't they just sell the mini VHS and make people buy the stupid adapter tapes?
1
would have been easier to just say if you could look at the dot from every perspective at once it would be a picture...
1
that's all I'm thinking watching this... "that thing is not going to last."
1
MAGNETIC RAG! THAT'S WHAT THAT SONG IS! I love knowing the names of those songs that everyone's heard but no1 can name or find cuz they don't have searchable lyrics... like chariots of fire or yackety sax. now I just need to find the name of that chaotic/horroresque song that reminds me of the adams family...
1
that display is so 90s... it's scaring the 80s black guys.
1
heh, remember chrismas light testers?
1
always wondered why drive manufacturers don't just make the drives a little bigger so they show up as the advertised size on your PC... then no one would even notice.
1
seems like there's probably enough light to keep your vision somewhere in between. and light pollution sucks. I remember when it was pitch black where I am at night, then they expanded the highway and added a bunch of lights and the whole horizon in that direction is lit up at night now :<
1
wow, those 2 machines larger than my entire computer could put captions anywhere on my screen!? impressive.
1
that microwave probably cost like $1999.99 in the 90s too...
1
wow, you've become a lot less saturated in the last few years. you look like you're made of plastic... like the burger king guy.
1
probably calls out 360 degrees because 350 degrees is the point where the maillard reaction occurs and they know the thing is losing heat out of all the slots.
1
ya, but my washing machine keeps falling into the lake...
1
back when peg legs used to be made of wood...
1
no one had a DVD burner in 1998 >.> I don't even think I had a dvd player in 1998 ffs...
1
turning off my hot water while my cloths are drying sounds pretty stupid to me... and I like my stuff to work. everything you're talking about here is a complication of existing technology... and more complicated means more points of failure. with the water heater you'll now have to keep the heatpump system clean. regular hot water heater maintenance isn't something most currently do nor something anyone wants to add... so that's an additional cost to have it serviced every 6-8 months when the heat pump gets all clogged up with dust and crap... then a stove with an extra battery in it which has a limited lifespan giving your stove a shelf life... yay! not to mention all of these heat pumps would use huge amount of refrigerants that are costly to dispose of and the systems need to be serviced semi-regularly...
1
good thing that I don't care then... though I happened to be looking at the GFI plug in my washroom after watching this and noticed it only has text in one orientation which would seem to indicate it should in fact be installed ground up... and it's been there since the 80s so I guess this isn't a new idea? tho what do you know it's the only outlet in the house that was installed sideways.
1
"speed dehydrators!" "frozen food re-heaterizer!"
1
12:00 I mean... you're trying to demonstrate analog audio over youtube... I wouldn't really expect to hear the sort of minor differences one might in person(tho it's probably not a lot).
1
if you had $9000 to spend on some fancy record player it could probably have shreded the records for all the owners cared... it was probably cheaper to buy a slave to change your records for you lol.
1
laserdisc was huge and reminded you of older tech (records)... I never even heard of laserdisk before this channel.
1
my dogs dislike this video.
1
dishwashers have heaters in them... why does it need to be hot going in?! go look in your dishwasher... there's probably a huge heating element in the bottom where the water sits...
1
the more I think about this back feeding to the grid thing the more it seems like a bad idea that no one will like... what if you have to rush yourself or someone else to the hospital in the middle of the night and your car is dead cuz who needs a car in the middle of the night? people want their vehicles to be there and working when they need them.
