yes, this was magical to me as a kid... I had a bedside lamp with a capacitance sensor... my dad was also into hobby electronics in the 80sish and told me how it worked... then we got these magical microprocessor things that were "just as good" and all that went to the wayside. it also had the same 3 level dimming function. mine just worked though, it didn't need to "boot up" or any such nonsense. it's amazing to me how tech like this and chanel shifting in songs is all "new" to people... and how mercury bimetalic switches are suddenly dangerous despite there being one in my hallway for over 2 decades without issue... there's a damn shroud around the thing... it's not hanging out there.... like how everyone freaked out and ripped out all the asbestos when most of it was safely sealed in walls... like how etc etc etc....

should do a video about EM fields... it can be fun to just wander around the house with an out of tune radio and pick up what's putting off massive fields of radiation... especially things like monitors and air contitioners. also amend it with a definition of radiation.

I mean... if you happen to have a stainless steel fridge and connect it to the door panel maybe? but really no, you'd have much more luck connecting it to a stainless steel dildo.
