  1. lol... my lawnmower has like 10 safety lockouts on it.... vehicles have next to nothing. and just like all these other electronic systems in vehicles, they mean more things to break and a harder time fixing them when they do.

  2. omg no. that would be so annoying... it's already bad enough that my lawn mower has about half a dozen safety interlocks. this is a classic case of over reacting to one incident. one person can't figure out how to put their car in park and dies and suddenly we need to inconvenience the millions of people who manage it just fine with a bunch of "safety features" that both raise costs and waste everyone's time.
