Prager is a Zionist, yet he claims its wrong for "traditional religious jews" to take on belief that aren't enshrined in Judaism. zionism is in many ways antithetical to religious jewish practices on so many levels. The very existence of israel as a state goes against numerous rabbinical teachings. In order for jews to claim israel, the messiah himself must come down from heaven and give the chosen people their holy land, until then, jews can't own or claim any land, nor can they have sovereignty to any state, especially a jewish one. It's funny how him and shapiro willingly ignore that fundamental part of Judaism. israel as a project was created by secular jews, most of whom, like hertzel, hated religious jews and religion in general.
