Ancient Greek philosophers and writers wrote about Palestine. 2nd, Palestinians have had a national identity even before the Ottomans rules them, history is easy to study and read... you should read about the history of Palestine and her people. P.s the same could easily be said for Zionism and Israel, both being an ideology and nation state that were dreamt up by Europeans less than 200 years ago. Israel barely ahs an identity that doesn't involve stealing food and cultural items from Palestinians and surrounding nations/North Africans.
