  12. Pockets of Texas are rich, but that's about it. Most of the state is low income. New York and California generate the wealth they spend on public programs, they also supplement poor red states which barely cover the cost. Red, southern states don't pay into what they take out, not even close to it.

Those car companies are moving a small amount of production to the south, bare in mind that car manufacturing as it used to be known is virtually dead in western nations. Most cars are produced abroad, with cheap labour and automation.
