  1. In 2020 Minn Pd had a budget of $183 mil.  It was cut by ~$17 mil in 2021. The very next year [2022] it was at an all time high of $193 mil. This year it's $200 mil. (Another all time high) Like every gov't agency, there's a lot of bloat, ineptitude, and corruption. When they took a 9% haircut in 2021 and made a public statement to the affect of them not being able to service their constituents, everyone just shrugged. Here we are in 2023 [with their largest budget] and they're still ineffective. What would happen if a private sector employee had to take a 9% pay cut and it rendered them incapable of doing their job? In regards to being unable to hire leos, that may be due to the public's perception of leos as they sit on the side of the road writing traffic citations all day.

  3. Why would anyone call a social worker or a leo if you've been carjacked. Neither one can do anything to help. Maybe call your Insurance co.
