Police can and will take whatever cash or valuables they want from a vehicle. Civil asset forfeiture is a plague

Well, it’s hard to UNINTENTIONALLY put tape over a camera.
49
It took only 200+ years to get where we are now. The nation's best years are behind us and in a few more generations our rights and freedoms will be but a distant memory. 🙁
40
The bigger problem is Americans demand that gov/t is thoroughly entrenched in every aspect of our lives. In 240 short years we’ve gone from total freedom and autonomy to huge gov/t overreach and virtually everything we do being either illegal or regulated into oblivion….. and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Carrying valuables in your car is a bad idea…. Civil asset forfeiture. ‘MERICA

Great video. Would you cover law enforcement requesting someone out of their car and into the passenger seat of the police vehicle? I see this a lot and it never ends well. Thx!

Another comment that confuses stupidity with malice. This cop isn't stupid, the team of prosecutors who charged the case aren't stupid, the judge isn't stupid. These people know exactly what they're doing.

The camera out in the open is just a decoy

@markmalasics3413 Please name a state where not performing a fst is a crime.

I don't think anyone in this country believes they aren't used to tear you car apart and steal your money.
7
We voted our freedom away over the last few generations. Gov't gets bigger and our freedom lessens with every trip to the ballet box.
6
A few years ago I had an older car stolen. My insurance didn’t cover theft. That was the only call I made. Nothing good has ever happened by calling the police.

malice

After watching many hundreds of police interaction vids, I recall 4 or 5 where the victim was able to be silent.
4
This is fact. The 4th isn’t the only right that’s been destroyed. We’re a few generations from having no freedom or rights at all. We had a good run, though.
3
Most people go through life like this. It works on an individual basis but the country’s constitutional rights have deteriorated because no one wants any friction. In a few more generations police will be coming in our houses to perform inventory searches. ‘MERICA
3
Most Americans know that we’re aren’t free anymore. It was fun while it lasted
3
It's not forced. We demand less freedom, we demand bigger gov't. And we'll vote for it again at the next election.
3
If your car is searched, the police also have the green light to take any money they want from the car. Civil asset forfeiture is covered from time to time by the media but many people still don't believe it's a thing.
3
@ That's true if you believe that voting has any effect on law. Personally, I think voting is irrelevant. Most Americans demand that big gov't is entrenched in every aspect of their lives and that's why we are where we are. But, if people changed their mind tomorrow, I don't think there's any way to turn this thing around. We have a 2 party system and both believe in bigger gov't and less freedom.
2
@blainelytle341 Exactly! No-one should be allowed to own a vehicle or drive a vehicle. It's too dangerous.
2
@bluedragonfly8139 Do you call the police every time you don't signal 50ft before a turn? Do you request a ticket and "take responsibility" every time you follow a car a little too closely? This is America, where every single thing we do is illegal. Gotta protect yourself.
2
If the supreme court is ruling on it, it's bad news for the people. In a few more generations we will have no rights. That's our trajectory. It would be interesting to put a graph together starting from 1789 to present with the X-axis being data such as tax, national debt, freedoms, etc. 😔
2
This is a joke, right? They would do anything to put innocent people in a cage for the rest of their lives, or worse. Go listen to any of the dozens of “wrongfully accused” podcasts.
2
It's not their job to serve the public. The people who believe they do serve us are the ones most easily victimized. Back the blue until it happens to you
2
We vote for them and all the laws they pass.

Now he’s the people’s lawyer😂

I’ve never heard of #6. Very nice

@ there are 2 kinds of people in the world... those who do whatever it takes to avoid a traffic ticket and those who stand up for themselves and their rights. What else would you do to avoid a fine?

Police are above the law
1
@MrRaja That doesn't completely solve the issue of being arrested for DUI when you're sober. Knowing how to protect yourself from prosecution is a must. There are countless news stories of police arresting people who they know are sober. Local DUI attorneys are the best resource.
1
@ If it were that easy, no-one would ever be arrested for possession
1
After watching hundreds of police interaction videos that go south.... I believe that nearly all of them would have gone differently if the victim pulled out their camera to record and never spoke. People just can't seem to stfu

Wait, people still buy fords?
