There are several YouTubers who regularly dole out advice on what's legal and illegal in regards to self defense. Their loyal subscribers take it as gospel. Ultra irresponsible but I never read any pushback in the comments. Bottom line, it's you against the prosecutor. Know your rights. Never talk to the police and always get an attorney. Your life is at stake.

@AntonioCunningham Prosecution can't use [someone exercising their 5th amendment rights] against them in court, it can't be brought up at all. Supreme Court has ruled on that. It's not that the state can use what you say against you in court, it's that they will. Prosecutors have qualified immunity. No matter what you say, it will be taken out of context and you will be misquoted. It's been said that 'the person who needs a lawyer most is the person who's innocent'. Walking into a police station to endure a very lengthy and stressful interrogation by people who want to incarcerate you is a dangerous game to play.

Amen!! GO YOUR OWN WAY!

If these guys were undercover police, there would be no charges and they would be hailed as heroes.

@erueka6 The host of ASP is the worst. On one video [of a girl in a subway station getting choked out] he berates a bistander who saved her life. He says that the man could legally shoot the perp instead of wrestling with him. What an irresponsible clown.

She was elected by the people of Harris county. 2nd term. The people of Houston want her in office. Democracy at work.

Both guys made statements w/out attorneys. It amazes me how many Americans think leos and prosecutors are seeking justice. They are not. They're in the business of incarcerating people and ruining lives. Know your rights. Never talk to the police!

Most people don't believe police are in the business of protecting/serving. They're seen primarily as an entity prowling the highways looking to take your money in the form of traffic tickets. But in these 2 events, prosecutors will absolutely try to ruin these two lives given half a chance.

Paternity fraud is not a crime.
1
@LunarLocust A few years ago, I researched this topic for a college class. It was my belief [then] that no female has ever been charged with paternity fraud in any state. It was also my belief that it is not a crime in any state for a female to falsify the birth certificate. It's possible legislation has been passed since. I've read that marriage/children is the second greatest transfer of wealth in this nation. The first being our welfare state.

@LunarLocust I'd be very impressed if you can find a single case, in any state, over the past 10 years of any criminal charges filed against a female for lying about the identity of the father of her child.

But he wasn't incarcerated

I don't think paternity fraud is a crime in any state, nor has a female ever been charged with paternity fraud. It's widespread and has ruined many lives of men. The family court system as well as the criminal court system is thoroughly at odds with men's rights and lives. In a word, our judicial system hates men. Marriage is one of the most efficient ways to decimate a man's world. This is one of the major reasons men are stepping away from relationships/marriage/raising a family.

Frank, Do you think charges would be filed if these guys were off duty cops?

The people voted for these policies. They're were stripped of their rights because they want to be stripped of rights. If you read a few dozen comments in these type of videos, you'll see how many people don't believe in most of our constitutional rights.
