@rorysparshott4223 I am sorry you are so biased and find it okay that people who have waged so many illegal wars are allowed to judge others and bomb the living daylights out of them without a UN mandate. So, to summerise, 1,5 million deaths in Iraq isn't genocide, but a few 100 or 1000 is?
You believe the people who say it is genocide, whose own illegal wars caused 20 million people to die since WWII and which wrecked many nations, like Iraq, Libya, Syria, Serbia, Somalia, Vietnam?

@rorysparshott4223 Like a child, pretty childish remark, not? But I am used to that when people cannot answer something. You believe, well so bcs you believe it, then it is true? You still think the West, UK (where you are from I believe) and US and even Nato can determine when it is genocide after all their lies to invade countries before and cause millions of deaths? You ignore there wasn't a UN mandate, so it is okay just attack countries without it? One rule for you and one rule for others? It was nkt that clear cut kn Kosovo, bcs Serbs got slaughtered as well by the Kosovans. I know people who have been there and admit this, it has also been writtem about it the media.
I don't believe countries who lied about weapons of mass destruction, lied about Vietnam, invaded 15 countries in central and south America, bcs they didnot align with US interests. So, when your neighbour on the right hit his wife and children on several occassions and one day he comes to you and says your neighbour on the left is hitting his wife too and we should take him down by force at once. You just believe him? Even when the police isn't there and you have not heard or seen it yourself? You believe the hypocrite who has done far worse things? And you take the matter into your own hands instead of letting the law do its work?

@mikethebloodthirsty The quesrion is what is genocide, because that word is being misused more and more. Hamas admitted they were dishonest about the number of deaths, it is estimated that it is around 24.000 now since 7 October. It is a lot, but most of them are Hamas fighters who vowed to kill all Jews. Their charter states that all Jews should be killed and 80% voted the people in power who have genocide on the Jews in their charter.
The Palestinian populatian grew 5 or 6 fold sincd 1948, with genocide the numbers go down. I don't say Israel doesn't make mistakes, they do. But why is this genocide, but the 400.000 deaths, from which 200.000 children in Yemen, isn't? Nobody ever calls that genocide. Or the 5 million deaths in Congo the last 20 years, the 800.000 Syrians or the 6,65 million people who died of hunger since October 7? Nobody ever uses the word genocide, even if 277 times as much people died of hunger worldwide than in Gaza in the same period. I even forgot the 100.000s of deaths in Sudan and now the 8 million people who are on the run, driven from their homes as we speak.
So why is the word genocide used so selectively? Of course it is sad if civilians die, but if most are fighters/soldiers (75 or more %), then is it genocide?
The war could have been over long ago, if the hostages were released. So, if their own leaders don't release them, knowing their people keep dying bcs of it. Then whose fault is it? If I have a neighbour who is 3 times stronger than me and is ruthless and I decide to smack his son on the head, I will get beaten up and maybe my family too. Can I blame my neighbour? I started it. Hamas knew Israel would hit back hard after Oct 7, but they still chose to go on killing 1200 people, raping, beheading, and even life streaming it, knowing they would sacrifice their own people afterwards. And how should Israel have responded on this attack? Hamas promised to do it again and again and again. And recently Hamas said it was worth so many of their own people died, bcs it was good for the cause.
