any number of reasons why Ray may have been mistaken, it could have been and it went under, they moved sites because of lower profits from the surrounding neighborhood, or the deal fell through due to possible complications at the location, like the rent or costly renovations. I doubt Ray really kept an eagle eye on its current state since he has clearly distanced himself from it, so as far as he knows theres a Starbucks there, and not an abandoned firehouse.

@gitsnshiggles maybe the starbucks went under or moved locations, I doubt Ray was keen on keeping a regular vigil on the happenings at the firehouse. It may have been a starbucks or plans to be a starbucks at some point.
