  1. the problem in gaming is they let all the bean counters and marketers be in charge of making decisions... not the creatives. so they only focus on marketing and making money, rather than fun and interesting gaming experiences.

  2. talk about revisionist history... dark and gothic roots. there was nothing dark about diablo, diablo 2, diablo 3 or even 4, it was the haunted mansion ride from disneyland with loot drops. which is why I laughed heartily whenever people complained about diablo 3 not being "dark enough".

  3. even if you were playing to find better stuff, odds are it was few and far in between and was probably for a class you werent playing. I liked the RMAH, I made good money finding good shit to sell to people for money.

  4. yeah the RMAH wasnt bad, but you were essentially forced to use it simply because of how stingy and badly designed the loot drops were, almost as if they wanted you to use it in order to nickel and dime you for their cut of sales.
