  1. and I think you are wrong about WoW, you dont even have to play any of the previous expansions, you can literally play BFA and go into Dragonflight. So thats not even a wall. Even if you had to play them all, its not really the issue of progressing through them one by one, its the fact theyve done nothing to change the leveling experience. Honestly, the leveling experience really was never the best, it was interesting the first time through but the questing stories are so disconnected from the expansion story you can never feel invested. theres a reason why no one reads quest text, because its a moot point, so why bother reading it. Unfortunately, rather than improving the questing experience, Blizzard just aborted it all into Chromie Time and only requires you do one expansion before going into current content, leaving 90% of the games lore to whither and die. I think thats the main reason so many people jumped ship to other games, especially XIV where you can experience a cohesive story from Level 1 to whatever the current max is. The players who are left are not even MMO players, they are just disgruntled WoW players who are angry and vitriolic to new players with this "you better perform perfectly and know everything or I will remove you". Sadly, Blizzard cant fix player mindset, so its left on a downward spiral of death by a thousand cuts until theres no one left.

  2. the reason you dont see lawfully good characters is because people are still in this deconstructionist mindset created by The Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen. the problem is when you deconstruct you need to start putting things back together and reconstruct or you risk ending up with a bunch of useless pieces.
