  2. yes shorten the game more and completely ruin the flow of the narrative and kill the world building. chisel away at that foundation so the entire house collapses. how do I know this? I watch new players who have no experience and hear things like "the pacing here feels off, like Im missing something". instead of making new experiences better, you are essentially going to ruin them even more. people need to get off this ARR is Slog train, and stop tainting the new players to the game.

  3. the issue with naysayers about XIV is they listen to people who havent done ARR since it launched, shit all over the experience. ARR has been trimmed about three different times, and the current incarnation is after the most recent trim in 5.3. honestly people wont be satisfied until they just remove the story altogether. hopefully SE stops listening to them and leaves ARR as it is. I cant stop people from coloring new players perception by saying its a slog, sadly enough.

  4.  @LordlyWeeb  of course, ARR in 2021 is actually really good. I played it when it was launched and leveled up alts every single time they updated it. the current iteration is by far the quickest and best version of it. though in some places they could actually add back a couple quests to improve the pacing. they cut too close to the quick around the lv 45 range. anyone complaining about it has either never played XIV or havent played ARR since its original incarnation.

  6. the majority of people shitting on ARR havent played ARR since it launched, they have gutted ARR at least three times since then. there is so much missing from the experience its like comparing Vanilla WoW with Cata WoW in terms of the early game. All the while people havent played the early levels since vanilla continue to shit on the early game experience telling people its a slog when new players come in during cata.

  7. thats the follow up videos title. and Josh will tell us how thats a terrible way to design games, and it should brilliant from the get go and having to wait that long sitting there playing a 95 game when it should be 100 out of the gate.
