  1. I am not into EV ownership, but Tesla and BYD do make a profit per EV sold. Ford and GM sell EVs at a 15 to 25 grand lost, even with their high cost. Both the The CEO of Ford, Jim Farley and the CEO of GM, Mary Barra have placed the production of making their EVs on the back burner for now and instead they are Ramping up their hybrid production. Both companies have put their aspiration of building battery plants in America on the back burner also. If I was to get an EV, it would be a Tesla.
