That cut hit so hard it knocked the wind out of me. Really puts it into perspective.

@Gazkhuul Oh gosh... do you really think that we are going to unwittingly commit one of the worst periods of history... again? In this day and age? You genuinely think that? You can actually play that in your head without irony? What happened back then was awful, but you have to recognize that this scenario is so vastly different and also in such a different environment (socially and technologically) that prevent your scenario from occurring. Please, check out Godwin's law. It's always rang true, especially in this case. The "Nazi argument" has always been the laziest, most easily applicable, yet also the least accurate (no offense).
2
@Gazkhuul Division bad, yes. That's not a novel take, and most people are already aware of that, but reasonable folk aren't nearly as loud. The original comment here was pointing out the absurdity of comparing those folk with the victims of the holocaust. It's not even remotely comparable, except by superficial parallels. Some people dont want to be associated with volatile groups that are VOLINTARILY joined because they've been volatile. Especially if you're outspoken, can you blame them? Anyway, drop the comparison because it makes no sense.
2
@Retrofire-47 Let's not get distracted here, especially not only for the sake of promoting one's preferred political affiliations because they are NOT REMOTELY the same thing as a people that were subject to systematic genocide. If you want to parade your misunderstanding do it elsewhere without the preface of it being similar to something awful and real just for an undeserved sense of injustice.
2
@Retrofire-47 and in the event that it isn't... let it be known that it was just an odd phase in my life and to be honest I never really even (to be followed by more backpedaling and embarrassment) If this is parallel to anything, angsty teens are a far more accurate example. And just like teens, they think they're "ugh, like, being controlled!", dramatize the "hot new trend" they are following, etc.

...triggered?

@Retrofire-47 Pretty fair to call it absurd. Jews aren't some weird volatile conspiratory group that stormed the capital, they're just people that were born as they are and were used as a scapegoat in a terrible period of history. They tried to compare themselves to them but their plight is far more silly and trivial.
1
@Retrofire-47 Gosh there's even more to unpack, including your assumption of my "political persuasion". Did you not watch the video, or did you just show up to paste your speech?
1
@Retrofire-47 but anyway, you're free to hop on this trend of yours By your own volition And you are allowed to speak about it And make absurd comparisons
1
@Retrofire-47 ...you were into this Q stuff since a child? I only made the comparison in regards to this false martyrdom. That's all.

@Retrofire-47 Then what the hell have we been talking about
1
@Retrofire-47 ...Those subjects have already been addressed and they are easy to find if you seek them. Those links keep showing up all over the net over and over again. Propaganda bad, yes, but how is it not what you are doing as well, perpetuating just another form of mass media? However, some of those links are fair complaints, some address some things that surely could be better in their own right. The oddest thing though is that you seemed to have mislead us to believe your complaints were relevant to the video we are commenting on. Also, not too dissimilar was your attempt at calling what was said above as gaslighting. The thing is that some groups and organizations actually are more silly than others. Realtalk: did you actually watch the video here? What really brought you here?
1
@Retrofire-47 None have gaslighted you. Your definition of gaslighting is so broad that anybody saying anything is gaslighting. By that definition you are gaslighting. As far as I understand. We've all been genuinely struggling to understand your position from the start. You've merely been hearing our attempts at deciphering your position. Not gaslighting. Gaslighting requires intent, and I've had none for that and have seen none from anyone else in this thread.

@Retrofire-47 A few months ago, I took a flight to BC to visit family. During my time there, I wore a mask to a public event to be called a "muzzle wearing lapdog" by one of the attendants. I tried to say my piece, but what I considered logical responses were shot down, dismissed and laughed at. Soon I had enough and decided to leave and was followed by a few folk making barking sounds. Following this, did I consider myself equally persecuted as the Jews in the 1940's? Hell no. That would be absurd and taking advantage of a historical tragedy for my own gain. Not everybody agrees with everybody. However, please dont read this anecdote and ignore what I said above, or the things said by others above.

@Retrofire-47 Online accounts banned from youth? Ok now I get it you actually are just a kid and the earlier analogy was more true than I thought. I also explore you to look up what the term gaslighting actually means. Nobody are pulling any tricks here and nobody is manipulating you. Also maybe look up voter suppression for minorities and low income areas. THAT is at least a bit closer to the argument you seem to be attempting to make.
1
@Retrofire-47 -and voter suppression is a bit more real than your online accounts being banned. You also have to consider other factors that lead to these outcomes. Were you rude? Were you harassing others? Was there something bigoted, thoughtless or needlessly insensitive? I don't mean to imply these are things that happened. I'm merely asking. A lot of alt-right folk exist online without being banned because they're at least considerate and less than toxic. Unfortunately, they're the minority. Also, unfortunately some groups are more volatile than others. ISIS has some strange ideas, would you not say? People are frowned upon for extremism. Not merely political alignment. If you recall the last few elections haven't been overwhelming majorities in either direction.
1
@Retrofire-47 I absolutely have no intention to condescend, but every attempt of explanation from myself and others has proven to be useless so far, and now you're improperly referring to gaslighting (another terrible nightmare scenario, not unlike the holocaust that you're misapropriating to your own benefit). Realtalk, if I could wave a magic wand and have us both know exactly what our actual intentions here are, and then be able to speak more efficiently about it, it swing it in a fartbeat. I, as well as others, have asked multiple questions regarding your rhetoric. Instead, you've focused on listing off insults towards me.
1
@Retrofire-47 Also, please tell me about my "crowd". I'm a bit bewildered. Wasn't your argument focused against the idea of division? Also, my moral compass is spinning? That came out of left field, care to elaborate?

Forget Marvel. Andrew is the best superhero.

After this, I still don't understand white boy summer. I don't even think Chet does either.
