  10. The US didn't pay a penny into "NATO's bills". Individual countries spend on their individual militaries. None of it goes into a common pot. The US has a huge military for many more reasons than deterring Russia. Europe supplied the potential battlefield and kept America from having to worry about defending its own territory. That's the investment you made.

  11.  @susannehartl3067  - The administrative costs are insignificant. The personnel are from the various militaries, and the only real cost is the buildings to put them in.

  12.  @susannehartl3067  - The talking point being used is the US has been bankrupting itself paying Europe's bills, and therefore Europe should have to support Ukraine alone. My point is that the money the US has spent on defense went into its own forces, and any amount that went into NATO was miniscule.
