A Eurofighter loitering around for the amount of time a Bayraktar does would require many refuelings and put the crew at risk. No air force would do that. Nobody ever died piloting a Bayraktar.

Countries like Poland and Czechia have straightened their heads out from the Soviet brainwashing. Ukraine was under the Russian thumb until 2013, and they've been at war since then. This is Ukraine rejecting the East and joining the West. You can't expect them to change all their attitudes overnight, but they certainly have no lingering loyalty to the old system.

India doesn't claim to be our ally. They're not Russia's either. Neutral countries get to look after their own interests.

@Bawamba - We can apply sanctions and expect our allies to honor them. Turkey is betraying a trust. Demanding that a neutral country honor them is a violation of their sovereignty. Sanctioning their companies when they are in complete compliance with their own and international laws would be convenient, but that's not how it works.

@Bawamba - Stop buying and sanction are two different things. The government can't force its citizens or companies to stop doing business with a neutral country's, or that is a violation of many international laws, treaties, and agreements, as well as the accepted behavior of one sovereign country towards another. Officially embargoing a neutral country's goods is an act of war. No matter how righteous you feel your cause is, you can't force others to take your side or help you in it. It's not grade school. The biggest kid doesn't get to change the rules every time it makes things easier for him.
