  1. I so agree. He is brimming with intelligence, compassion, humility and (I suspect for the most part) love for his fellow humans. No wonder the haters hate him! He is a truly wonderful gentleman. I just hope he and his family fully recover and return to strength again.

  8.  @jackjohnhameld6401  I used to read Michael White back in the early 1980s; but after a couple of years of him and Polly Toynbee I realised they'd utterly lost the plot over Thatcher, Reagan, Pope John-Paul II, CND, 'the miners strike' etc. and the real world in general. Now we know The Scott Trust fortune was made in historic slavery, and is long managed from the Cayman Islands (a tax haven). Such is their egocentricity, hypocrisy, speciousness and mendacity. The Guardian is actually sinister now.
