  6.  @ComotoseOnAnime  , all those are possible, but the infrastructure needed for those is vast and costs a lot. We would maybe see a skyhook or a mass driver and also a space elevator on the moon rather than earth first.

As a sci fi nerd one of the ways we could cool our planet is painting roofs ultra white their was a new white discovered that could reflect about 98.1 percent which is amazing but whats also insane its so effective that it not only it cools itself but it also cools itself colder thab the surrounding air temperature for example if it were 80°F degrees it would be colder than 80 degrees fahrenheit. If we painted about one percent of the earth white we could cool the earth down as much as 1°C tho thats just according to my memory.

  9. @mitchelarchbold9219  well, their two types of nuclear fission theirs thermal which uses heated-up hydrogen expelled out the back like a conventional chemical rocket, or their atomic ion or aka nuclear electric rockets, which is an ion/plasma engine powered by a nuclear fission reactor but fusion, yes, is a perfect one if you have other questions you can ask since I study stuff as a sci-fi nerd, but I mostly learn weaponry. Yes, as I said, fusion is possible, but if you were to consider how easy and abundant the fuel of hydrogen and oxygen or other fuels are, then that's far cheaper than deuterium or tritium

For some who still don't get it fully is what Astrum means is Ion drives will be able to get used to other places faster by keep accelerating for years without massive amounts of fuel sure but they won't completely replace chemical rockets as they are too convenient to get stuff into orbit but having a higher delta V is very desirable

  11. @christopherdaffron8115  well yea ion Propulsion is a form of plasma Propulsion plus it's supposed to keep accelerating to its destination even if you try to use chemical in space to try to accelerate it even more you have to carry so much fuel it's not practical so yes ypu are right having a higher Delta V is what you want

  23.  @celticrose2  yea keep in mind if you do have trees around you would need to take care of it more and your more likely to see dirt but honestly I would argue the paint lowing the temperature makes up for that plus you could save as much as over 50 to 60 percent of cooling costs so getting the whitest white possible is important. Tho it depends on where the sun is shining or such as what parts of your house aren't painted white now if it were me I would avoid dark colors but bright colors make your house pop or look pretty and vibrant so I would use those sense they also can reflect light better than darker ones. But that's up to how you or the person wants to make it look.

Also I didn't say it was mid or anything because we're talking about bro also isn't it better to put a space station at a Lagrange point than mid way to Mars? People say space will be for the billionaires yes for now but what people fail to understand is loom back in the 20s and 30s where air travel was for the wealthy like back in those days a ticket cost over three to six thousand dollars or so its nuts including that was same once for cars, trains, etc space will become cheaper for the average person they say by 2040 or so the costs today will fall by 95% percent which is huge and thats if we account for other technologies besides stuff like rockets etc

  74.  @Antares2  mostly thats a complicated question, I mean I'll be honest I get Mars but I wish musk would look to the moon first sense we could use the moon as a fuel stop to reduce costs yes we don't have to go yet but unless we can colonize the moon first we can't go to Mars yet, I mean honestly it's best we colonize the moon first and get more of our costs down and set up a permanent base on the moon first, the thing I can say is their can be many reasons why we wanna go colonize other places, it could be that earth is getting over populated, we want to go and explore the unknown, their many things that can go wrong, it's happened before Like challenger did, I do think we should sent more unmanned robots and such to scout more for places for water and such as finding a place for building but we humans are good at doing hard things, I mean space opens a massive opportunity for humanity like jobs, new careers, new knowledge, new discoveries, their many reasons why some want to go and do something dangerous, but I have to agree we can't live at Mars...yet, bur once we get ourselves more out into space and able to manufacture products and stuff such as new materials and getting stuff like centrifugal gravity we can start living in space. But yes from what I can tell you is beyond what I could say, but what u can tell you is why shouldn't we? Why shouldn't we go to the beyond? Like Columbus going to the America's something we want. I mean I'm excited for the future we can one day go to live on other worlds. Also something like hypersleep isn't possible yet but where getting close to something like hibernation. Antares I'll be honest we can't live on Mars yet but soon we could once it's safer to know what space e and lower gravity does to us.
