Oh yea even their using a vickers machine gun from ww1! They still work and surprisingly they have advantages over modern machine guns they can fire for much longer times without changing the barrel and their easy to maintain from what I hear their pretty amazingly useful
2
Do u think the problems with these vehicles could be solved, or will that take many more years of research and development?

@hermes7587 they were turned off mainly for stealth reasons however it left them vulnerable if they didn't know their was a missile coming in thats what a AWACS is for

A hybrid certain would cut fuel costs almost in half the amount of a conventional power plant set up for a tank or more for the same range with smaller fuel tanks

The most scariest part is if the other side has microwave weapons, it could certainly make these weapons even more highly vulnerable to not working well if not at all because of how reliant they are with digital microchips that could easily get fried. That's something not everyone is talking about, and honestly doing that to make the enemies ATGMs like the javelin useless bur for the RPG and such? Not so much, they are much more resilient to EMP or microwave weapons

Its funny how u play warthunder but dont know that half track lmao

One thing we can confidently say is the Arsenal ship isnt fully dead, south korea wants to have arsenal ships by the 2030s or so which is pretty bold and their taking a large risk by wanting to build these things could oen day possibly truely show us what the capabilities it could really have.

This is why stuff like the anti-Tank mines, RPG, and such are much cheaper, including recoiless rifles and raven cannon technology.

@hellbringer09 but it isn't it's very much russian

Thats the thing even some modernized t55s are still used today and they still work pretty well even some t72s and 62s and such despite their age and design, as long as they still work dont replace it unless absolutely need to

If it were me as a sci-fi nerd who is making and developing a hard sci fi series, I go a bit bigger at 15.2mm. that's cannon size! Idk if you would still call it a machine gun or... well a machine cannon!
1
Not surprised because the thing is the west is in decline and epople like this are laughing because their mocking the for many reasons like how their serving a goverment thats supporting a gen'ocide in gaza or that people are doing this for other reasons so not hard to see that

I doubt it's unjamable if you are somehow in the line of sight of it you could use the Directional Infrared Counter Measures (DIRCM) on the seeker of the incoming projectile to confuse it sense its laser guided you can shin the IR laser on its seeker to confuse it
