I've been following this technology for a few years now it could easily turn coal plants from coal burners to using geothermal to make electricity. It is absolutely game-changing once it up scales and matures

Ye it's nice
19
I wish I was their man I never got to experience it fly
19
I say AA as well dude
10
I wonder If it would melt part of the missile or disable it in mid flight
8
I saw this on new atlas, and it was nuts when I saw the vid of its testing
7
Sadly LK99 sadly wasnt able ti be a an actual superconductor. Im very excited for superconductors for the future for these technologies it will bring!
6
This ceo guy is brilliant the way how he and his people came up woth this is amazing and the ability to make fuel for reactors by using this machine by Helion is an amazing idea tho I hope it works out sense using this could be used yo make the desperate tritium we need for Tokamac reactors
5
@twistedmovies8782 hey man the space shuttle was a marvel of engineering despite its flaws
3
The proximity fuze changed everything forever in terms of warfare is amazing
3
I loved this. I own a real working walkman from guardians of the galaxy and such etc. Im very happy u made a vid on this.
2
Uh, it's a little misleading to call it reusable, the real first ( Partially) reusable rocket was the falcon 9 rocket while the space shuttle did indeed tried this and could land and such its man hours to refurbish was too great to be considered reusable. Theirs a vid i saw on YT thats a small channel called the space race, but i think it explains it well. The vid is called "How spacex reinvented the rocket" watch It's pretty good!
2
@ne0nmancer you know we just recently just figured out how Roman concrete works now weeks ago or so
2
@grahamstevenson1740 yep very true it's a sad reality the only way we might possibly see this is on Mars or something
2
@CMT_Crabbles I'm not saying never, but do understand how utterly expensive maglev technology is? Now compare that to a hyperloop (which is also a maglev but) within a vacuum tube! It's much more expensive than such than even maglev or high-speed rail they don't make economic sense and would easily be able to sabotage, have horrible higher costs, etc.
2
Doesn't mean the space plane is dead In fact, there's actually major interest in growing amounts of companies wanting to have space planes.
2
@sofamiller7133 not exactly for the sci fi... heres the thing I understand that I do but the space shuttle despite all its flaws had a massive impact on the world
2
The griffin costs less to maintain than the Falcon and its much more cost effective
2
Amazing vid real engineering! I would like you guys to talk about how the past and modern armor works and how future studies like you saying ceramic armor performs even better when under compression was something I never knew about. Please make one! Thank you so much!
2
Adam something did say hyperloop is far too expensive than stuff like the cheaper bullet train or maglev
2
Agree
2
I've been waiting for a video of this for a long time!
1
Ooo awesome
1
@theendlessvoid7124 yes true but it had so many horrible many hours for refurbishment to the point it wasn't actually considered reusable watch the vid from the channel called the space race and has a vid on called "How SpaceX reinvented the rocket" is a pretty good watch I suggest you see!
1
@theendlessvoid7124 I mean seriously look at how constantly and frequently SpaceX is launching Falcon nine! Sure it was not easy for them to pull it off but today they make it look practically easy and their rockets land with such amazing accuracy
1
Also the largest non reuable part was the large massive non reusable external fuel tank @theendlessvoid7124 way larger than the small part that isn't reusable on the second stage of the falcon nine
1
@luigeribeiro I'm talking about the whole system idiot 😂 not the shuttle itself
1
@luigeribeiro also if you watch the vid I put in the comment you may understand what I'm saying
1
@luigeribeiro I'm saying to refurbish the space shuttle and such takes a lot more than a falcon nine dude
1
@luigeribeiro not hard to understand
1
Yusss

Its unlikely that maglev will become less expensive in the forseeable future or anytime soon, high speed rail is much cheaper to build and uses much less energy than maglev plus high speed rail still has a lot of room for improvement to go faster.
1
@matsv201 yew true
1
@Guy-Zero as a sci fi nerd myself I do believe this will happen and that this tech will be mounted on trains besides planes, cars, and such the tech in which they could significantly reduce drag and energy consumption further by using what's called plasma actuators it uses plasma and such to manipulate and control airflow I heard it could reduce drag on aircraft as much as 30 to 40 percent! Imagine that for high-speed rail like the trains like the Germanys famous ICE trains

@matsv201 true true
1
@Guy-Zero right I do agree, but that doesn't mean air travel is still gonna be a thing air travel that takes 3 to 4 hours to a destination and that long should be banned and replaced with high speed rail or maglev I only see maglev as a way to be used for short rounds between major large cities and not small ones where the population won't make sense.
1
This video did a lot better than the first one. wtf that's impressive
1
@IcECreAm-sv2qv which is an obsolete and outdated system sadly
1
@uku4171 yes
1
@Mrtroop-bd3xu yea
1
@sofamiller7133 not exactly I mean we didn't wanna go to the moon anymore because not only we lost interest but the USA won the cold war so what was the point?
1
@sofamiller7133 well duh Yeah
1
Hey real engineering is it somewhat possible to use diamagnetism to make artificial gravity?
1
@alfepalfe then again it's possible but it would still have its own problems
1
@tommydoez wonder weapons such as the german Me-262 and such
1
Amazing vid real engineering! I would like you guys to talk about how the past and modern armor works and how future studies like you saying ceramic armor performs even better when under compression was something I never knew about. Please make one! Thank you so much!
1
Their was an f117 shot down, and the Russians and chinese got their hands on the classified technology
1
People say this won't work, but after seeing the math and such seeing this shows this is certainly possible, however it's very hard and challenging but were stubborn species and we like to do hard things.
1
I've heard about this a year ago and ing I thought it was a great idea
1
Fun fact everyone their was a plan to make the large space shuttle fuel tank turn into a massive space station once was a both insane and an amazing idea the amount of living space would be more than that of skylab! We havent had food and such dinning food choices sense skylab
1
@AlRoderick yep exactly
1
@AlRoderick it also saves tons of money and infrastructure
1
@jamestyrer907 it doesn't have to be drilled down to that depth to get to super critical steam
1
@jamestyrer907 u know that right?
1
@manuvillada5697 fair but doesn't mean it could work no matter the depth it's just getting that to the surface is something else
1
I have never played or owned a Nintendo switch yet. But i do wanna try.
1
As an American and Gen Z, I'm aware of how safe nuclear is. Yes, it can be dangerous, but the number of people it's killed is pale in comparison to how many fossil fuels kill every year and this is a fact at least to my knowledge that fossil fuels has killed more people than nuclear ever has in a year!
1
Anyone here know Nuclear power is safer than coal or fossil fuels? Because in coal, there are traces of uranium in burning coal, not to mention fossil fuels kill more people than nuclear ever has in a year or so equivalent just stupid how theirs so much misinformation and I'm a fan of Nuclear power not to mention no Nuclear accident was ever a pressurized water reactor because they are very safe compare to the reactor that was used in chernobyl or any other plus new Nuclear technology like thorium, salt water, and SMR Nuclear reactors will change the way how we make and use nuclear power while being more cheaper than the massive billions of dollars of the large ones with cooling towers 40 years ago and so on.
1
@simonjaz1279 yes indeed
1
The apollo computer paved the way for the first of fly-by-wire systems! Real engineering, I hope you guys talk about how the apollo computer works would be utterly amazing!
1
@ginagg72 it's way more complex than that it's not that we don't care, and it's also mainly due to capitalism being the main driving force of climate change
1
@submachinegun5737 they could however their usually used to help heat up the homes water
1
@Donnerwamp yea true
