  9. Dennis Tyler - I am surprised that neither Massachusetts nor my home state of Connecticut made this dubious list. If Briggs had expanded this to a top 15, I’m sure both states would be there.

  10. I’m curious on what criteria Oregon ranks only 38th in weather. I think after California and Hawaii, the states I would consider to have the best weather would include Oregon. (I would look for a place with relatively cool summers, and few temperature extremes. I like having some rainy days.)
