Another isolated city with over 100,000 people would be Punta Arenas. đšđ±

Rhode Island, Delaware, and Vermont do not belong with the other states on this list; the title did say nine emptiest states. I was expecting the nine states with the lowest population density, with #1 being Alaska.

I havenât driven in Canada in 20+ years, but I recall that the flashing green lights mean different things in different cities. I recall that in Toronto the flashing green light means a left turn was allowed, while in Vancouver it meant the light was about to turn yellow.

Well, one West Coast state. But your point is taken.

I thought Guadalajara would have made this list. But I also thought Mexico City was the largest North American city, with New York a close second. I liked this video.

I like your list. I also live in the Northeast but agree that the west has the best scenery. I was fortunate enough to visit Alaska a few years ago, and it absolutely is the most scenic state. Also, I enjoyed Californiaâs diverse scenery and would have placed it second on the list, with Colorado and Washington vying for third. I donât think you left anything out, but I would have made Vermont the honorable mention.

@greatlakemommy545 - Barrow doesnât have 100,000 people. It has more like 4,500. The most isolated place I have been to that would qualify would be St. Johnâs, N.L. An even more isolated place that would not qualify is Yellowknife, NWT, where I saw the aurora borealis for the only time of my life.

Canada has less violent crime, a higher life expectancy, a higher quality of life, and they have universal healthcare. These are all things that the US needs to work on to be a better country.

@jaycasado5029 - it isnât âflyover countryâ for the 11 million people who happen to live in Ohio. AFAIC, flyover country is ND, SD, NE, and MT as few people live there.

The US has the potential to be the greatest country on earth, but only if we can make that a priority. For that to happen, the petty bickering between Republicans and Democrats needs to stop.

@jaycasado5029 - I visit Ohio. I lived there 11 years and I have relatives there.

@jaycasado5029 - Iâd rather live in Ohio then. Orlando obviously gets way too many tourists. đ

Yellowstone last exploded about 650,000 years ago, and I really donât think it will happen again anytime soon. Maybe in a few thousand years, but not in any of our lifetimes.

I would be interested in the ten countries with the highest percentage of women. I am pretty sure that two of those countries would be đ·đș andđșđŠ.

Really, the list should have been 56 entries, with DC being an entry and not an âhonorable mention.â The people in DC are Americans too.

Except for New Jersey and Rhode Island.

Wellington is not that isolated.

@greatlakemommy545 - Never been on the Dempster Highway, but would like to. Definitely a summer destination.

I think the world will exist, even though humans can do a much better job taking care of it. I give Earth about five billion years and humans about a thousandth of that amount.

@alojzynowak8392 - The West Coast is considered to be CA, OR, WA, AK, and HI. (I assume that is what you are unsure about anyway, your comment was pretty vague.)
1
 @uzin0s256 - AK.

@uzin0s256 - You just got an âFâ in geography.

@ - Cool. I think that was mentioned in the comments above. More than once.

No, itâs NJ.

Nice picture of Hartford at 1:15. Yes, it is an atrocious city whose best days are behind them! At one time, Hartford was pretty nice.

It is smelly, crowded, noisy, the weather often sucks, taxes are high, rents are through the roof, people can be very direct, there are lots of homeless, too many panhandlers, and too many Yankee fans. đ
