There was no problem with the various amphets availabile until the 🇺🇸 turned drug pocicy on its head and started to try to control matters (so much for the peoples choice, and the amazing industrious performances such usage produced, plus the concentration upon matters in hand from 1935 onwards), but on a w.wide basis. Thereupon handing virtually the whole deal to illegality. One would have thought the lessons of prohibition would have been well learnt by Nixon, Nancy Reagan and the rest of the genie back into the bottle stuffers.

  13. Following an RTA,, 86, where was knocked off my mcycle by a non observant car driver I lost a leg, and met full on p a I n. The health service issued opiates as relief, never really dealt with what I was coping with. I was offered SK&F Dexedrine by a pal one day and discovered a relief, that enabled me to cut right down to hardly any opiates, and found could walk without the pain anymore. But then (1994) SK&F gave up the licence and a version by Evans became the feature on my weekly script. Just not the same, whatever the 'magik' in the originals just wasn't present in the patent copied version, lasted for four years then they ended the script and left me back on opiates. In pain. Where I remain.
