We are not the United states that wants to build 600 billion dollars worth of military equipment every year even though they're not being invaded . And realistically how is any ground force going to invade our country when the cities are 12 hours apart with no water in a lot of cases

  34.  @DoubtingThomas333  so having a town where the average 12-year-old is going around smashing up buildings smashing cars up breaking into cars stealing cars, terrorising elderly residents in nursing homes police being hospitalised because they're throwing large rocks at their head . That all happened in the last week that doesn't happen in the rest of Australia surely that would be of interest?

We fought off the Japanese imperial army with conscripts not professional soldiers and paying headhunters .It would be totally impossible to attack the mainland of Australia because there's nothing in the middle they would be seen instantly . If you put military personnel on the ground it's going to take you 12 hours to get anywhere meaning that they can be dealt with.Also the yanks don't want their bases taken over so they probably will turn up ready to sell military equipment and save the day as they are legally required to do by the document that we signed . Also who is going to attack us the Chinese ? well all we have to do is stop buying toys from them and they won't have a budget to do that and most of the South Asian countries don't want pick a fight with Australia because we give them so much welfare. so stop making headlines to distract from the fact of Australians are starving and we want something done about that not the military at this very point in time.
