@jacksobrooks Politicians are the BYPASS of the people rule. And in Australia, are totally corrupt. TOO EASY, for people who want something but a rich corp wants something else .. and the politicians back the $$$$$ . I've seen that too many times. Look at Globalization, Free Trade agreements and open borders. The people are NOT dim-witted sheep ,easily conned by Influencers. Online discussions allows all sides of a debate to be discussed.

@horstherbert35 lol no not that simple, for a start each voter must be a citizen, and each vote is linked to a voter, and is stored on block chain. Easy to double check any additional / missing votes. Unlike the current manual system where votes vanish / added at progressive whim.

@farmyardfab If you keep the people ignorant then it's easy to say that. A criminal minority want to make policy making complex and corrupt, this benefits them only. Thus laws must be short and in basic English, and debated online. Thus Direct Democracy can be successful.
