  1. Us democracy is disfunctional. The candidates thevvoters would lije to vote for are not able to run. A solution is to have a ballot with a party vote and a candidate vote. Voters then get to pick which party wins the seat and which candidate from that party. However no reason for current representatives to chance the system. I suspect this would not change what party wins elections but woukd finallybget some new blood. 90% of representatives have zero chance of losing their seatd currently. That is the same as no election in that much of the country
