@SOWEZKTÄRKE Had the musket been invented much earlier, armor would have been less important Contact, second book by Walt Socha, has Time Travelers, Native Americans and Icelanders fight against Irish and Vikings! Longbows and Muskets using high-quality steel butcher the Irish/Vikings and go through their armor like paper!

@marvinkitfox3386 You should read both Conflict and Contact, books written by Walt Socha Five Time Travelers go back to the year 1054 to prevent the tragedies that would kill lots of Native Americans! Atheist Time Travelers and Native Americans vs Christian Irish!

@LetsGoGetThem That is what you expect when a bunch of Norman foreigners takeover Anglo-Saxon England And then these Normans try to take over Wales Fortunately, the nation of Haven from the Walt Socha books stop England from conquering Wales and Ireland! 11th century armor is no match against Longbows and Muskets or Rifles, Cannons and Revolvers!
1
@LetsGoGetThem Haven, the nation that the Time Travelers founded in the Americas has Muskets and Longbows by the second book By the third book, ten years later, they have Rifles, Revolvers and Cannons In the second book Haven has a town in Ireland and controls Iceland Should Haven get involve in England vs Wales, the Norman English are fucked Wales specializes in Guerilla Warfare and Archers Haven can bombard London using their Navy Not even a Christian-Muslim Alliance can stop Haven

Tactical Aioli Horse Archery is much harder than most other types of soldiers

Tactical Aioli The Pope was tried of the Norman Sicilians and the Holy Roman Empire fighting the Vatican (The Norman Sicilians sacked Rome in 1060) Rather than deal with all the Catholic Nations fighting each other, the Pope convinced/bribed them to aid the Eastern Roman Empire against the Muslims

@cryo2156 How long would it take to make the equipment though? The second book Contact has Time Traveling Atheists and their Iceland/Native American allies fight Irish and Viking raiders! The Irish and Vikings are still using Mail Armor. Even in the third book which is ten years later armor wouldn't evolve for several decades! (Wild West Revolvers and Rifles in the Third Book vs Mayan Remnants) Meanwhile, the Havenites already have muskets and longbows to shred mail armor! (The only historical group to use longbows this early are the Welsh who are fighting the Norman English) Is it certain that armor will never get this complex due to the very early introduction of gunpowder weapons?
