Wyatt, Do you think it was unintentional? I bet she didn't intend to kill him. Her actions in her drunken state definitely killed him so she is totally responsible, but I doubt she planned it ahead of time. But she doesn't seem to feel the least bit bad about what she did.

@Systematicsphere Well, guess what I just did? I looked up the definition of "murder." I hadn't really thought about it, but---yes! Of course. It has to be intentional. So I guess I am of the opinion that she didn't murder him. I think she is responsible for his death. I think she is one of the most obnoxious human beings I have ever heard. I think she ought to be punished. But I don't think she murdered him. Do you?

@Systematicsphere Okay. I get it. But-as devil's advocate - what about premeditation? Would that have to prove that she planned ahead to put him in a suitcase? Would it still be murder if they couldn't prove premeditation? IDK. I'm just thinking. She is so obnoxious, I'd be fine if she was locked for the rest of her life.

@acebinko1 So it wouldn't be premeditated? I don't think she planned it. It seems to bizarre to plan to zip someone up in a suitcase in order to kill them. However, once he was in there and telling her that he couldn't breathe and she didn't unzip the suitcase, that is intent. I think it would be fun to lock her in a room with Darrell Brooks and see who came out alive.

@garymorris1856 She is nuts, isn't she? Even if it was an "accident" as she says, she still did it. She still killed her boyfriend. I don't hear her say anything like, "OMG I killed my boyfriend!" Nothing. No accountability at all. Damn! She doesn't even cry. She is a real damaged human being. Lord knows what her childhood was like. Can you even imagine!?

@left-2-write28 LOL I'm confused. Is negligent homicide considered murder? I am not intending to express any judgment. I'm just confused about the terminology. Negligent homicide seems to pretty accurately define her actions. I think.

@arthaiser I agree. Being drunk doesn't mean you get a free pass. I just wonder if she was sober, if should have let him out. Don't get me wrong. I can't stand her. I hope she does to prison. I'm just wondering how a lawyer will defend her case. What could be her excuse for allowing him to die in a suitcase?

Still, if he needed to get out because, oh I don't know---it was a STUPID idea--she should have let him out. She was angry and drunk and didn't even consider the possibility that he could actually die. Couldn't have happened to a nicer couple. Oh and---is it me, or WTF is wrong with people in Florida? Surely, there are some lovely Floridians who just enjoy the sun and aren't criminally insane.

@soxpeewee Do you think when she was taking the videos she was hoping he would die? I don't think she was. I don't think she was thinking anything at all. I suspect she was just enjoying the moment. Please don't get me wrong. She is one of the most idiotic, annoying people I have ever seen and I don't care what ends up happening to her. Still, I have hard time thinking she planned to kill him. I think she is skanky and insufferable but not very bright.

@dithageneral287 I agree that she didn't care. I do think that, if she didn't consider the possibility that he would really die and she would be held accountable. I think she was too drunk to think it through. I could be wrong. She could have planned the whole thing. But, she isn't that clever.

@garethlawton5278 What if the defense tries to say that her intention was to make him squirm? I wonder if the prosecution has to prove that her intention was to kill him. If so, I wonder how they will do that. IDK. I don't really even care that much. She gets what she gets. It's just such a weird case. I've never heard of anything like it.

@Migman-d3m She does have a couple of times he was arrested but then she bailed him out. I think she totally killed him. I don't think she intended to but she did it and is responsible. I don't know how the prosecution could prove premeditation. I think they could maybe prove negligent homicide. She is a walking, breathing disaster. The weirdest thing is that her ex-husband seems fairly normal.

@pok3rfacReturns Oh she's guilty of the second or third. I agree. I'm wondering how the prosecution will prove it. Will the videos she took be enough? Seems like it should, but the defense is probably going to say she has battered spouse syndrome or something which is bs in my opinion.

@Baylorbetterthanbrown Okay, here's what I'm thinking--I've been drunk before and I did things that I didn't remember doing. (Nothing bad, thankfully, just kind of stupid.) Later, when someone reminded me, it all came back to me and I felt foolish. So---yes, she is totally responsible. She should be held accountable. I believe she is a damaged and evil person. But I'm just wondering how the legal system looks at it. If she truly doesn't remember doing it, can the defense prove that and try to use it? I mean---they shouldn't! Don't get me wrong. She did it. I don't care if she was drunk. She is responsible. She killed him and showed no regard for his suffering. Does that make sense. I don't really disagree with you.

@paimon_irl7776 You may be right. I hadn't thought of it that way. It sounds like she was pretty drunk. Perhaps she wouldn't have done that if she was sober, but that hardly matters. Did you hear the interview with the neighbor? It interesting because he lived right next door and heard what seems to be the suitcase going down stairs after and few minutes of silence.

@Smegmatician Do you think she put him in the suitcase (or he got in and she zipped it up or whatever) and heard him calling out saying he couldn't breathe, didn't comprehend the gravity of the situation (maybe because she was so drunk) and just went to sleep? Or do you think she had him in the suitcase, realized he might die and took the opportunity to kill him?
