It's called summary judgement and it is quite common. Just because you were unaware does not change anything.
3
Wrong. Summary judgement has been in use in our legal system for more than a century. Just because you and this podcaster aren't aware doesn't change anything.
3
So did she beat Trump in court?
2
Did you pass the Bar, Chris? Summary judgement is applied DAILY, and has been for more than a century. This pod caster is not too informed.
1
Actually, they can. Summary judgement. Google that term and learn. This guy knows less than you, I guarantee you that. He's either in way over his head or intentionally spreading fake news. Now I see why YouTube wanted me to watch this so badly.
1
No. Summary judgement is very common. This podcaster is clearly uninformed.
1
Because "Summary Judgement" is extremely common, and it is not "biased". You are listening to a podcaster who has zero knowledge about the law. This is the most basic stuff.
1
No. This podcast is so false and wrong I hardly know where to begin. Fake news.
1
This podcaster knows less than nothing.

@kathleencove <<< "Summary judgements are still not made before the trial." Yes, they are. They CAN be issued concurrent with the trial, but summary judgement PRE-TRIAL are issued daily in this nation. I don't know where you are getting your legal education, but you need to ask for your money back.

I hear ya, Cove. It looks to me like the Republicans are going after Biden as hard as they can. Investigations, impeachment hearings, and so forth. Maybe Biden is just a smarter crook than Trump. I have heard Trump make self-incriminating statements at least three dozen times. If I were his lawyer, I would have literally taped his mouth shut. Then I would tell his staff that whoever takes that tape off his mouth will have to answer to me.
1
@kathleencove Oh, and I have access to these records. I've read them. You are getting fake news. This podcaster got so many things wrong, I hardly know where to start. We can't put hyperlinks in these comments, but I will point you in the right direction: P.A.C.E.R. You will have to register to get access to court records, and there are some minor fees. It's worth it. Pretty quickly you will KNOW who is spreading lies and who got the story right.

Summary judgement is extremely common, and has been in effect for more than a century. Your youtuber here does not know much. Be better than that.
1
There is so much fake news in this podcast I couldn't possibly correct it all. Either this guy is in WAY over his head, or he is intentionally spreading fake news.
1
No, don't get your hopes up. This YouTuber got so many things wrong I don't know where to start. He knows less than nothing about this.
1
Worse that that it's fake news. This guy knows less than nothing.
1
@Iceaxe0410 The “bias courts” are made up of WE THE PEOPLE.
1
This youtuber knows less than you about the legal system. I can't count the number of things he got wrong. You are swallowing fake news.
1
@tinalschmidt-banks3415 Summary judgement is very common, and this guy got nearly every single fact wrong. Take it easy and be assured what this dim wit said is not what happened. This guy is either in over his head, or spreading fake news on purpose.
1
They already have it. His lawyers were present IN PERSON during the Summary Judgement hearings. This YouTuber has gotten nearly every fact wrong. Either he is in WAY over his head, or he is intentionally spreading fake news.
1
They cannot be. "Summary judgement" is legal, proper, and used daily for the last 100 years or so. Gotta do something wrong before you can be held accountable. Like Trump and his crooked family did! Your YouTuber here knows less than nothing about the law.
1
This guy knows less than nothing about the law. The reason she is making public statements is because what happened (not what this idiot said) was legal, common, legit, lawful, and so on. Don't listen to idiots. You know more than this ding bat.

@n0wheregrrl Happy to help. A summary judgement may be in order when the facts presented to the court pre-trial meet a few criteria. One of which is that the allegation(s) made by the plaintiff (if assumed to be true) rise to the level of a civil tort. Another would be that the defendant does not dispute the actionable tort pre-trial. An example of that would be the defendant saying yeah, I did that but I was just playing. It was a joke. Such a response would be neither a matter of law for the court to decide, nor would it be a fact to be decided by a jury. Hypotheticals aside, those two things are literally the issue in two of trumpy’s civil trials. Some people might remember people like me going crazy many months ago, when trumpy failed to actually present key info to avoid a summary judgement. A lot of the trumpers made fun of us because they did not understand what position trumpy put himself in.
1
Summary judgement is so common it is literally before the courts hundreds of times every single day. Your podcaster here is an idiot. This has been a part of our courts for more than a century.
1
It's fun to watch dim-witted people get their high school education in real time. Summary judgement is requested in practically every single trial.
1
Summary judgement has existed and happened for more than a hundred years. Sorry you didn't know that, but that's on you.
1
@sonnylambert4893 Sonny, I have defended MANY motions for summary judgement. I have not lost one yet. So your wild guess was wrong.
1
@Spacecadet690 Having trouble telling truth from fiction? Maybe put that joint down for a few days.
1
Sorry, you are going to be disappointed. Campaigning on the promise to bring criminals to justice is not only legal, it's actually recommended.
1
What this bozo said isn't, but he got nearly all the facts wrong. I've read the pre-trial motions, as well as the rulings. This guy got nearly everything wrong.
