@tigreactivo517 I don't know about that. The perp fired several rounds at the officer, and was still armed and not surrendering. Hard to fault six rounds in the span of 4 seconds. Now if he walked up to the body a minute later and fired six more, then it's overkill. When you have been hit during a shoot out, shooting to kill rather than shooting to disable seems reasonable and justified.

@EJ257IHI Then you should be thankful to the "Demoncratic Party". WE THE PEOPLE sat on a jury and said this is justified. Because of that, this is final and that protects the officer. The family of the deceased cannot sue the officer, because when WE THE PEOPLE said it was justified- that's final. The officer CANNOT be charged with a crime for shooting this guy. He CANNOT be sued in civil court for shooting this perp. Why on EARTH would you want to abdicate your authority as a citizen to a hand-full of government officials?! Where is your pride? Where is your INDEPENDENCE? Where has common sense gone in this country?!?!?!

@ElChapos Not if you care about LEO. Dismissing the murders of unarmed civilians as "pulling the race card" puts other officers in more danger. Call out the bad ones, protect the good ones. Don't make life harder for cops by defending the bad actors.

Bob, when a grand jury finds this shooting was justified that CANNOT be overturned. Ever. The officer cannot be charged with unlawful killing at a later date, and the family of the perp cannot sue the officer for wrongful death. This is closure for the officer (victim of attempted murder), and prevents further harassment against him. He is officially justified in his actions. The decision of WE THE PEOPLE of the grand jury is final, and cannot be overturned.

I am sure you can't. Let me help you: When a grand jury made up of WE THE PEOPLE says a shooting was justified, that's final. The officer can't be charged with murder later, and the family of the victim cannot sue the officer for damages. This ruling from the grand jury will protect the officer from both criminal prosecution later, as well as being sued by any family of the deceased. WE THE PEOPLE have spoken, and this shooting is justified. Period.

If the Chief of Police says something is justified, that can always be overturned. When WE THE PEOPLE say it was justified, that's FINAL. I swear the number of people who have no clue how our Constitution works blows my mind. WE THE PEOPLE sat on a grand jury, and determined this shooting was justified. Can't argue with that. Glad the officer is not more seriously injured. I do have problems with the description of the video: "He didn't listen to verbal warning." Actually, he fired several rounds at a cop. Not listening was not the perp's biggest mistake. Attempted murder should get top billing.

@jameschristensen1055 The DA did not "charge" the officer. The DA asked a grand jury to review the facts and make the decision. WE THE PEOPLE did that, and returned a "No Bill". James, you can string together thoughts and sentences well. Take some time to learn about charges, indictment, true bill, no bill, and criminal complaints. You are intelligent, you just have a gap in your knowledge. Time to fill that gap.

No Ben, but now it's official. WE THE PEOPLE sat on the jury, and determined this shooting was justified. Now that the people have spoken, this is officially and permanently over. I can't understand why so many dim-wits want to take these decisions out of the hands of WE THE PEOPLE. Do you have no sense of independence? Do you want to hand over all power and control to your government officials? Do you want a few officials calling this justified, or WE THE PEOPLE (at least the ones who will show up for jury duty)? If you want big government to be the final authority, move to China.
