If one does not understand that they are buying financial responsibility for the common area when they enter an HOA, they do not have what it takes to manage through it. They should NOT buy in an HOA.

  12. Bingo. These folks were members of the HOA, and could have voted in the way that avoided this. Better yet, they could have run for office and put their own hands on the information and problems. When voting members cry about the association they partially control rings hollow to me.
