  6. I will bet you one dollar that the call was from the DOJ. They changed the deal, and that's why Hunter changed his plea. The caller wanted to remove the "amicus" material, and that means documents filed with the court by people other than the DOJ or the defendant. I bet you one dollar it was something supporting the plea deal from a third party.

  11. The judge didn't reject the plea. She just pointed out to the defendant that the DOJ had changed their offer. So Hunter himself rejected the deal. I REALLY hate seeing my fellow Americans so ignorant.

  20. The judge didn't do this. The judge just pointed out to the defense that the plea document the DOJ gave her was not what she expected. The defense found that the DOJ did a secret switch-a-roo, and all hell broke loose. In the end HUNTER withdrew the plea. Not the judge.

  22. The judge didn't refuse the plea. She merely pointed out to the defense that it was a different agreement than the defense thought they were getting. The defense lawyer threw a fit because the DOJ reneged on their offer, but at the end of the day Hunter got played.

  28. I was fully ready to see Hunter plead guilty. It seems that the DOJ switched the plea deal without telling the defense. That's why Hunter withdrew the plea. If it means a trial, so be it. Give defendants a fair trial, and let a jury sort it out. Hunter is nobody to me, and Joe is only on my good side as long as he keeps doing things like CHIPs Act, Toxic Burn Pit for Vets, IRA, IRS, and infrastructure. If he has committed felony(s), let the cards fall where they may.

If that's what really happened, good luck ever getting any criminals to ever take a deal. Hunter is just one rich ashhole. But the damage that may be done to our justice system is WAY bigger than any one man.

  34. It wasn't thrown out. The judge read the deal and asked the defendant if he understood that they were still going to prosecute him again. His attorney interrupted and said that's not the deal we agreed to. The DOJ did a switch-a-roo, not the judge.
