I care about making sure middle and low income people get some of this crushing pressure off of them. Even if it doesn’t directly benefit me. Even if it does end up costing me another $10,000 over the course of my lifetime. However, I fully expect it to benefit me indirectly. A happy and healthy society has lower crime rates for example.
