  1. I am thanking God he gave me the ability to differentiate a symbol from actual human conflict. A flag is no more than a symbol, while those dying on all sides of the war are ACTUAL HUMAN BEINGS. Do something to stop the killing if you want to impress me. In the mean time, just watch the comments section fill up with people who are thrilled that a skirmish over a symbol was won by the "good guys". The vapid and simple-minded will find comfort in this unimportant event while deaths continue to mount in the wars.

  15. The "likes" rate between my comment and the first response suggests that those who read my opinion in the first 15 minutes clearly understood what I meant. I made fun of Fox News' naked manipulation of their viewers' emotions, and you guys recognized my comment for what it was. That begs the question: Why do you like to get your heartstrings tugged by "news", but hate when people point out that it is in fact happening? Do you think you are keeping it secret? Do you think no one else notices?
