  2. I started listening to Rush in 1997. He said so many things that just made sense to me. But after a couple of years, I couldn't get past him telling only part of the story. I knew more about things he talked about, and I started noticing a pattern of him leaving out important information that contradicted his opinions. Eventually, I had to give up on him. One thing he did do for me is teach me to verify things I was being told, though that might not have been what he wanted me to do.

  5. Rush isn't gone. His radio program was stolen off the airwaves by the Democrats! There were 2,000 radio jammers in Atlanta, see... and RINO's wanted to get rid of Rush! And My Mattress Guy has the proof! And Nancy Pelosi is holding Rush hostage in her basement (next to the pizza parlor)! That's why David DePape raided her house! HE was TRYING TO FREE RUSH!!!!!   8. Rush sold a political party. He was an advocate for his preferred brand of governance. Rush electioneered for the Republican party. He was wildly successful, made 100's of millions, and convinced simpletons whom he had never met that he was their friend.

  11. Rush (accidentally) taught me to verify the whole story when a talking head feeds me their talking points. I don't think that was his intent, but he sure taught me a valuable lesson: Strangers with a political agenda to advance are not actually my friend.

  13. Rush was an electioneer. He sold the Republican party to people who listened to AM radio. He made millions doing it. I guess that qualifies as an "icon".

  15.  @kevinburke1325  You are mentally weak. I am the same me, I have only one screen name / account, and I am flesh and blood behind the keyboard. Rush was a very entertaining electioneer. He sold a political party, and made hundreds of millions doing it. A real friend will tell you both sides of a story. Rush was a Republican Party promoter, not your friend.
