  8.  @doug3066 Part three (sorry to tag you, this is for Beach): On all three cases (California, Colorado, and CO Supreme Court appeal) Trump has had his choice of lawyers present, participating, and litigating. These three trials have been going on consecutively for more than a year. Trump got to make his cases in three different courts, each of which listened to his side as presented by Trump's attorneys. This chain of events is known collectively as 'due process'. Would you like me to post all three court cases Trump lost? Would you like me to include the names of the lawyers representing Trump as he went through the 'due process'?

You will dismiss it all with something like "I know you are, but what am I?" and you will feel very satisfied. However, OTHERS who read my points may put in the effort to learn if I am right or not. And in that way, there will be at least one less conservative in this nation. Item one: Finding of fact: Both criminal and civil courts in the US operate on this principle. Courts are responsible for doing this. They utilize the arguments, motions, evidence, and case law presented by either the plaintiff & Defendant, or the Prosecution & Defendant. In some cases the court will accept input from other parties in a "friend of the court" brief, but that's not really important here. More to follow...

Additionally the opinions / predictions they give have come true. They are all practicing attorneys rather than political spin doctors. If you are able to pull up the court documents on their stories and read them, you will see that they are not lying or exaggerating. They are hard-core democracy, and they will tell the truth be it good or bad.👍🏻

  19.  @donleavell Try reading the court's ruling. It is based on numerous laws, and well-established precedent. I know the conservative news outlets are telling you otherwise, but READ THE RULING. And at the end of the day and no matter where you stand on the political spectrum there is ONE indisputable fact: Trump pushed the limits, and brought this on himself.

The Constitution protects us from being deprived of property, liberty, and life without the due process in a criminal trial, JUST as you described. The privilege of running for office is none of these things. Running for office is not a constitutional right. And you CAN be disqualified from a privilege without a criminal conviction. I tip my hat to you because you clearly put in the work to research and read. But you completely mis-applied what you read. Running for office is not a right. Go read the Bill of Rights and see if it is there. One more thing: Did you know you can be jailed and serve up to (but not including) a full year in jail without trial or conviction? Yep. Contempt of court includes the possibility of jail time up to 364 days. NO due process. NO right to dispute the charges. NO right to council. But again, you clearly are making the effort to learn so I tip my hat.

Running for public office is a privilege one must qualify for. And a civil court can disqualify you from running WITHOUT a criminal conviction.   30. @Obeach1502Part two: On appeal, an appellate court will only overturn a finding of fact if the trier of fact’s decision was clearly erroneous. This means that both the California and the 1st Colorado rulings that found Trump committed this crime stand unless and until an appellate court concludes that the finding was OBVIOUSLY wrong. So far, this finding of insurrection has gone all the way to the CO Supreme Court, and it has been AFFIRMED. More to come.
