@Raptoraddict6610 Eh, not completely disagreeing but this downward spiral will continue until we get corporate money out of politics. Freedom of speech is for the PEOPLE, not the giant corporations.

Have at it. And I know you and Fox will blame Dems when it fails. Just like you blamed Dems because Trump didn't build the wall, and didn't get Mexico to pay for it.
4
@jrporter50 Porter, it's also a Republican talking point. More relevant though is it's a CITIZEN's talking point. You don't know enough about our nation's history (see Ralph's examples above) to be smarting-off to the grown ups. LOL.
2
Which is not automatically a bad thing. The problem is that politicians are trading votes for HUGE CORPORATE DONATIONS. That IS a problem.
2
Tommy, I want us to try something else first: Get corporate money out of politics. Billion dollar companies buy influence in both parties. If we don't stop that, they will just infect the new parties we create.

Welcome to Republican control: Gridlock. Right now, Fox is working on the talking points they will need to blame Democrats for all the dysfunction we are about to see. They blamed Dems when Trump didn't make Mexico pay for the wall. It should be easy for conservatives to blame the coming failures on anyone but themselves. The Speaker's chair was bought and paid for by half a billion dollars in corporate donations, against the will of 99% of conservative voters.

@jrporter50 portly, I think everyone understands that by Republican voters, I don’t mean Republican US representatives. I mean the voters that took to YouTube for four solid days saying hell no to McCarthy. And just like Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party monkeyed around during the primaries several years ago, the Republican Party has ignored the will of its voters, too! If you’ve been for McCarthy all along, fine. But if you haven’t, you better go back and delete those posts. Cause I’m gonna find them and expose you as a hypocrite.
1
I remember you. Well, this time I agree. I see corporate money in politics buying control of both parties. I don't think we can reduce corruption without getting corporate money out of politics.
1
@ponyshowdown Agreed. I haven't seen a crime, but whatever. There's going to be ZERO legislation produced now that the "shut it down Republicans" have the House. So let the cards fall where they may.
1
@douglasrowland3722 Doug, brace yourself.
1
Yep, we are headed for gridlock. Maybe it's time to focus on common ground, because it may be the only things we can get done for the next two years.
1
Fox News is the media arm of the Republican party. We all know that.
1
Big money corporations "own" both parties right now. If you start a new party, they will just pump money into it as well. You won't solve the root of the problem: Corporate donations are more powerful than voters.
1
@turfxpert Friend, I don't see it that way. I read 1,000's of comments from conservatives over the last 4 days. More than 99% said they didn't want McCarthy. The party said 'too bad, it's McCarthy or we keep Congress shut down.' It's my opinion that the party forced McCarthy on the voters because McCarthy raised half-a-billion dollars for his party from corporate donors. I just don't think the founding fathers wanted corporations to have more power than WE THE PEOPLE. This is in all political parties, and it is killing our influence as voters.
1
Themselves and MONEY. Don't ignore the massive corporate donations that bought McCarthy the Speaker's gavel. We will never drain the swamp as long as swamp money keeps flowing into it.
1
@jrporter50 you seem to be lost fella. I was talking about substantive issues. Go back and read my post. And I didn’t lose control. I responded to you in the way that was appropriate for your ignorance. Now, can we go back to talking about the substantive issue that I brought up? Or are you going to stick to ad hominem?
1
@pipo4158 Correct. One person, one vote.
1
Already flowing. How do you think the Republican party ignored 99% of conservative voters who didn't want McCarthy?
1
See if this makes sense: If we fire and lock up a crooked politician, another one takes his place. But if we remove the corporate money that funds the swamp, it's much less likely politicians will have a chance to be crooked.
1
@daveruckert7926 "Half Truth" implies the existence of another half that is not true. What exactly is not true?
1
@daveruckert7926 You again? Donald J. Trump was not. You keep failing at reading comprehension, Danny. Read S L O W L Y: "Donald Trump is the head of a CONVICTED criminal enterprise." Are you going to follow me around and continue to be illiterate? Your reading comprehension is shyte.
1
@daveruckert7926 Hey Danny, I can’t see your post anymore. Did you delete it? Where did you go?
1
The Speaker's gavel was bought with half a billion dollars in corporate donations to McCarthy. Let's stop fighting each other, and fight the politicians to get corporate money out, and term limits IN!
1
@kerwinbrown4180 Trump was in charge, but Trump was an idiot. Stop blaming his failures on others. He said he could do the job. He could not.
1
The swamp told conservative voters to take a hike, and the corporate donors bought the Speaker's gavel. People have no voice as long as corporate money runs politics.
1
Did they really?!
1
Why don't these people just obey the law? Why don't they respect the cops???
1
And corporate money insisted that McCarthy be speaker. Guy raised half-a-billion-dollars. That's why the party ignored the voters' outcry not to make Kevin speaker.
1
Crazy idea: Let's annex Mexico. Presto!
