To every working class American voter. When congressman who make $174,000 a year get millions of dollars in loans forgiven by the taxpayers, but working class people can’t have 10 or $20,000 of relief, that’s not right. Don’t disrespect other working class people while the wealthy get more benefit than you. your enemy is not other people who get up and go to work each day. Your enemy is not Americans who make less than $125,000. Stop lashing out at working Americans who are getting a little help.
10
It’s also unfair that you disrespect Americans who are working class people. Middle and low income people trying to get by. Your contempt for working class Americans is obvious to see, and it is disgusting.
3
Deborah, working class Americans already lost when a dozen congressman who make $174,000 per year took out loans, and then did not repay them.
3
So let me get this straight. You know the only people who qualify for this are low and middle income Americans. And you are bashing low and middle income working class Americans? You called them soft? You are unbelievably disrespectful to the men and women who work for a living in the United States. You really should stop being like this.
3
@7thswansong152 You say let them eat cake, and point out socialism failures. You seem to forget what happened to the person who suggested cake. Stop picking and choosing things to defend your anti American, anti working class BS.
3
Do you know what’s more wild than that? The US congressman who makes $170,000 per year, but got $2 million in loan forgiveness. That happens while middle and low income Americans get bashed and insulted for receiving 10 to 20,000 and help. That’s what’s wild!
2
Is it really ridiculous? Working class, middle income and low income Americans are getting a little bit of help. You must hate working class people, you must be an elite billionaire. Because working class people don’t bash other working class people.
2
We are working on fixing that uneducated point that you made. I read the inflation reduction act ( yes all 700+ pages) And taxes will not be increasing for people who make less than $400,000 per year. So the fact is you will not have to pay for this. People like Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Walmart, Facebook, Google, they are the ones that will be paying for this. This is going to help middle and low income Americans.
2
@alisonlambert1429 News outlets have successfully divided the working class against itself. I wave my blue flag, shout at the red flags, red flags shout back at me, then we all get in our Hondas, Fords and Dodges to go to work. Meanwhile, Billionaires take their choppers to go get a $1,000 haircut. Working class people with red flags have much more in common with working class people with blue flags than the people ruling our nation. As long as we stay divided, we stay distracted.
2
@tocomment2209 you ask someone if they worked hard and paid their own bills. I’m going to answer you. I saved and paid for my children’s college in full. And I am still glad to see our government helping out people who are struggling. I will not ask for a refund, I do not want a refund. This is what real Americans look like. We don’t try to stop other Americans from getting ahead.
2
@tocomment2209 I am responding to your point about government workers not contributing to the net revenue of a nation. It sincerely seems to me that you are making good faith points in this debate. I respect that. my local fire department has never turned a profit, but I still support them. My local city Council has never contributed directly to net revenue, but my city still needs them. my point is that governmental agencies are unlike business ventures. Their purpose is not to contribute to net revenue. When people hear politicians say that they’re going to “run the government like a business”, they are taking advantage of people who don’t know the difference between governance and commerce.
2
@tocomment2209 I did not delete that comment. I don't know where it went. Wrong on your response. "FOOD STAMPS" come from SNAP, which was in the number I posted. Also, Unemployment isn't a welfare program. It is paid by workers and by companies via taxes.

Do you know why they’re not fighting back? Because those congressman took out hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in some cases millions of dollars in loans and did not pay them back. They’re making money handover fist while you are attacking other working class Americans. Shame on you!
1
Rip Cord i’m sorry did you say pay their loans like every other person has done? Have you seen the list of US congressman currently serving who make $170,000 per year? Have you seen the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in some Cases millions of dollars they did not pay back? How dare you beat on middle and low income Americans who are working for a living?! You can go jump in a lake buddy.
1
@angelinaadkins8654 Well done! Now, do you want your child to go through what you did when they grow up?
1
You think providing a little help to working class Americans is damage? You seem fine with millionaire congressman being given one or $2 million in loan forgiveness. Do you even care about working class Americans?
1
@khan-Trarian well I have good news. Unless you make more than $400,000 per year, your taxes are not increasing to pay for this. so stop acting like you are the victim of someone else getting help. It’s a lie, and it makes you look sick and twisted.
1
@tocomment2209 One thing is clear, you have massive contempt for working class Americans. You can pound sand.
1
Stop bearing false witness. It is a sin. The truth is anyone who makes less than $400,000 per year will not see an increase in their tax. Those people will not be paying for this. Warren Buffett Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos Mark Zuckerberg Walmart Exxonmobil Apple, those are the people who are going to pay for this. Stop spreading fake news!
1
Do you know what political suicide? Bashing middle and low income American working class people. you just keep on doing it, we’ll see what happens on election day.
1
I guess you’re saying let’s go Brandon to all the working class Americans. Well, good luck with that. hey, it also occurs to me that Cornell is an elite school! very elite! and you were able to graduate from Cornell, so it sure seems like you are elite as well. The conservative leadership will welcome you with open arms. And the conservative working class Americans won’t know any better.
1
That’s a lie. Unless you make $400,000 or more per year, your taxes are not going up. Elon musk, Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffett, that’s who’s going to pay for this, not you!
1
@larimejohnson Good news! You won't see your taxes increase until you cross the $400k point! Mark Zukerberg, Elon Musk, Warren Buffet, they are the ones who are going to pay for this, not you.
1
@tocomment2209 Bashing someone who supports helping middle and low income working class Americans? You must be one of the Billionaire Elite who are going to have to start paying for these things.
1
Oh, so Americans who have to work for a living or hooligans? Working class Americans who took out student loans to better than selves are sloths? it’s amazing to hear you trash your fellow working class Americans, and then you end up surprised come election day. stop trying to pretend you are an elite billionaire. Stop bashing people who are working class like you. We don’t need traitors in our ranks.
1
@majorcynic I assume you did not major in Economics, business, or Sociology. Spend 20 seconds and read the definition of "Working Class". You said "...hooliganism and sloth are rewarded", so I can rule out an English major as well. When you criticize loan forgiveness and say hooliganism and sloth are rewarded, you are applying those descriptors to the people receiving the reward. Stop making excuses for lashing out at 40,000,000+ people you probably don't even know.
1
@theaudacity910 Are you paying attention? They are helping sick and dying Veterans with Billions in health care. They are helping middle and low income Americans with Student Loan Debt. Do you not care about these people??
1
@theaudacity910 Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Serge Brenner, Warren Buffett, and a bunch of companies like Walmart, Exxonmobil, Google, Facebook, and the list goes on and on. I’m betting your name is not on the list.
1
@theaudacity910 having to choose between medicine and eating is inhumane and un-American. I’m not going to ask you to switch parties to support Democrats who want to address the cost of medical care. You can stick with your Republicans, just insist that they start doing something to help you. They had the White House, the Senate, and the House of representatives for two years. They should’ve done something to help you.
1
@Scumbagballless get a job and help yourself? Maybe they could take your job if it pays enough to help with the student loans. you could easily just go find another job and help yourself right? Why don’t you find someone struggling with student loan debt and give them your current job?
1
@cfromkc5096 you just said you had record low unemployment under Trump. Fortune 500 magazine says you are wrong. Their article said that Donald Trump‘s performance and job creation was the worst in the last 80 years. He actually lost jobs during his tenure at a rate of .5%. The actual unemployment rate for July of this year is the lowest it has been in 10 years. It has not been lower. I know that you believe those things that you said, but if you will just use the Internet to Google information from the bureau of labor statistics you will figure out what the truth is.
1
@tocomment2209 you seem to be steadily hanging onto the idea that government should act like a business. Think of it this way and maybe you will see the point. Imagine government is a business, and the Democrats are in control of it. Does that sound like something you want?
1
@tocomment2209 Stimulus checks are not a welfare benefit. The $420 is the average combined monthly total per HOUSEHOLD.
1
Patricia, I have assisted foreign nationals through the immigration process, including a TN visa. Unless or until you go through that process yourself, you need to stop saying just do it legally. Until you know how exceptionally difficult the process actually is you don’t have a right to pretend you know. I promise you, a significant portion of American born citizens would not be able to complete it successfully. furthermore, working class Americans are getting help with this loan forgiveness. Low income and middle income Americans are the only ones who qualify for it. You bashing working class Americans is really disgusting. You need to stop.
1
So listen to me. Middle and low income working Americans are getting benefit. Unless you are a billionaire elite, this should be something you approve of. Unless you are like several Fox News viewers who are working class, and also hate other working class people.

Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s $183,000 loan. Her money you pay for it.
