Let's look at crime stats. 8 of the top 10 states for violent crime rates are Republican controlled: Alaska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, Missouri, South Carolina, South Dakota. Of the 5 states with the LOWEST violent crime rates, they are overwhelmingly blue: Maine 50th , New Hampshire 49th, Vermont 48th, Connecticut 47th , New Jersey 46th. Dems hold 86% of the Governorship and US Congress positions in these states. Whole lot of red, pro-2A states in that top ten, and zero in the bottom five...

He doesn't need to. Dems have crime rates in New York lower than AK, AL, AR, AZ, LA, MO, TN, FL, SC, SD, and many more red states.
