I remember your screen name. Maybe you remember mine. Fox knows that 99% of conservative voters said hell no to McCarthy. They’re just trying to convince those voters that they won somehow. Massive corporate donations are what feeds the swamp. And the swamp will never be drained until no political party can take millions of dollars from corporations.

@turfxpert Same. We've butted heads plenty. But where we agree is that corporate money speaks way louder than the voters ever could, and it happens in both parties. Once we fix that, let's get term limits. The swamp will never drain while corporate cash is rushing in like a river.

Nancy's top donors (and amounts) are as follows: 1. The University of California ($64,518) 2. Brownstein, Hyatt which is a DC law firm ($28,900) 3. Baker, Donelson which is a law firm in Memphis, TN ($28,133) 4. Comcast Corp ($27,891) 5. Wells Fargo ($25,746)

@yankee2666 The DNC raised a total of $492,683,091. The RNC raised $890,538,963. These are 2020 numbers. BOTH OF THESE NUMBERS SHOW HOW LITTLE we matter. We each have one vote. There are approximately 240 million registered voters in the US. Look again at the numbers, and ask yourself if corporate money should be in our elections. Should we as citizens be competing with this to have our voices heard?

I found the records of McCarthy’s current year Political donations. I mean 2022, not 2023. Enterprise partners, Comcast corporation, Altria group, rock holdings, Omnicom group. These are just a few of the corporations who bought the speakers gavel in the United States House of Representatives.☹️

Half $1 billion is a lot of money. That’s what McCarthy raised for the Republican party. And it’s not just the Republican party. We have got to get corporate donations out of politics. Their voice drowns out the people’s voices.
