  13. Mickey, NO!!!! The median income was $38,885 when I bought my first house in 1998. The median home price in 1998 was $152,500.The median income is $70,684 in 2021. Median home prices are $364,900. So income rose 82%, while home prices rose 238%. It is literally 2.9 times harder for young people today than it was for me in 1998.
