  1. I suspect my political ideology is very different from yours, but I agree. I don’t like the judge ruling, but this is what due process looks like. My only hope is that this doesn’t become a delay tactic. We need this cleared up before the next presidential election and campaign season. Get the review done quickly by the special master, finish the investigation, and let’s get this behind us before the next presidential campaign season.

  5. Patriotism? How do you feel about our Capital being attacked? More than 60 lawsuits challenged and failed our nation’s democratic process. Then, several thousand people beat police and trashed our capital. are you patriotic about the court systems and six of our United States? how about national security? Are you patriotic when it comes to the men and women who risk their lives to care for this nation? do you care about the military who defend this nation? do you care about sick and dying veterans who need healthcare from the VA? do you care that your nation had a leader who wrongly took more than 180 classified documents, then refused twice when asked nicely to return them? Do you care about your nation having to subpoena and raid an ex presidents home to get back those documents? The fact is if you care more about your political party winning than all of these things individually, you are not a patriot. You have no right to call yourself that. Take down your flag, toss all of your T-shirts, and act in a way that is true to yourself. You don’t love the United States of America. You are not a patriot. You are someone who loves other ideas more than our republic.

  10. If they truly unbiased person is appointed special master, it seems very likely that Trump supporters are going to be very upset. You need to remember that Donald Trump and his lawyers have not once filed a motion under oath claiming that those documents were declassified. Not once. What he says on his social media club is not under oath.

  16.  @JohnDoe-ew3xt  The presidential records act of 1976 does not have a penalty mechanism, but it is sufficient to justify a search warrant. The search warrant turned up evidence as expected and predicted by the affidavit. As far as the fourth amendment, remember that Trump has already voluntarily handed over some top-secret documents. That solidifies the probable cause to believe there was more. I applaud you for trying, and obviously you put some thought into this. You just didn’t quite get all the way to the finish line.

Most of America doesn’t conflate their own happiness with the well-being of a politician. We can disagree with others without concluding they are corrupt. Now having said that, stealing 180 classified documents and not giving them all back after THREE visits from the government IS PROOF that Trump is corrupt. The fact that there was a subpeona served on Trump months ago calling for the return of any document marked classified, and Trump did not at any point state under oath in a court document that they are DE-CLASSIFIED is proof he knew he had truly top secret documents in his possession.

I know Trump failed utterly to respond to the pandemic. I know Trump had Hunter’s laptop, and didn’t prosecute. I know Trump was president for four years and didn’t put Hillary in jail. I know Trump didn’t finish the wall, and I know Mexico hasn’t paid for it. The one thing I DONT know is why you have such low standards for your elected public servants.
