  2.  @goji059  So imagine a person who signed a loan, then didn't pay it back. Imagine that they have the ability to pay it back, but they won't. Now imagine someone taking several dozen loans, and filing bankruptcy to avoid repaying those loans. SIX TIMES. Now imagine that this person is still a billionaire. There is an actual person who completely fits this description: Donald J Trump. So, helping middle and low income students who signed student loans is infinitely more justified than Trump keeping his billions and not paying back those loans.

  13. I did too (actually more). I don't want a refund. I had the money, and my kids benefited. I could keep my kids from suffering what I saw others whose parents couldn't or wouldn't help with. That does not mean I am angry that millions of poor and middle class people are going to get a little help. I don't resent them, I want them to get more.

  33. Your home and your car are different. They belong to you, and basically only you and your family can get benefit from them. Education is different. The only way someone can make money from their education is to use it to do work within the economy. That helps businesses, hospitals, and so forth. Additionally, it generates revenue and that generates additional taxes.
