The articles of impeachment past the house, so the president wasn’t Peached. The Senate has the responsibility to try the case. The president would be removed if convicted by the Senate.

Dems were in control once sworn in Jan of 1987. When you look at what a lame duck party does in the closing months, you get a clear picture into what they really, really want to happen.
